How to Play

The computer will choose 4 random colored pegs (the pegs could be red, orange, yellow, green, blue or purple). The object of the game is to guess the exact positions of the colors in the computer's sequence in as few guesses as possible.

To make a guess, drag 4 colored pegs from the column on the right to a row of 4 holes, starting with the row on the bottom.

Colors can be used any number of times in the sequence. All pegs of the secret sequence and of each guess contain a color; no blanks/empties are allowed.

After each guess, the computer will let you know if you have any of the correct colored pegs and if any are in the correct position. You have 10 guesses to find the secret sequence.

For each of the pegs in your guess that is the correct color and in the correct position, the computer will give you one filled circle to the right of that row. If you score 4 filled circles on a guess, you have guessed the secret sequence.

For each of the pegs in your guess that is a correct color in an incorrect position, the computer will give you one empty ring to the right of that row.

There will be a combination of up to four filled circles or empty rings for each move. If none of the pegs in your guess is of a correct color, you will see nothing to the right of that move.
